C. WILLIAM "BILL" SMITH November 9, 1930 - September 6, 2000 C. William Smith, loving husband of Jane (Ross) and adoring father of Jennifer (Joe) Maguire and Peter; fondly remembered by nieces, Mary Harvey and Susan Snook and by brother and sister-in-law Jim and Mary Connacher and nephews, Nat, David, Jimmy and Ian. Bill was a special courtesy uncle to Stephanie Asbeck and many others who will miss Uncle Bill. Bill studied engineering at McGill University and accounting at Clarkson Gordon before joining the family business, John B. Smith and Sons of Toronto and Callander. Bill retired the company and himself in 1999. Bills enthusiasm for the great outdoors was his greatest legacy to his family. Boating, fishing and skiing were all family events. A celebration of life will be held at Osler Bluff Ski Club on Friday, September 15, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice Georgian Triangle, 49 Raglan St., Collingwood, Ont., L9Y 4X1, or the charity of your choice would be appreciated. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Fawcett Funeral Homes, Collingwood Chapel, 82 Pine St., Collingwood.
