ANGELA PALETTA (nee MARASCO) Angela Paletta (nee Marasco), passed on peacefully surrounded by her loving family at 10:15 a.m. on September 6, 2000, in the Royal Jubilee Hospital, Victoria, BC. Angela was born on October 10, 1916 in S. Giovanni in Fiore, Italy. She immigrated with her four daughters, joining her husband Giuseppe in Winnipeg in December of 1953. Angela worked at the Winnipeg General Hospital for 20 years, retiring in 1981 to Victoria, where she lived in comfort and grace. Angela was predeceased by her beloved husband Giuseppe (September of 1981), and lives on in the hearts and will be sorely missed by her daughters, Roslyn Jacobucci (Candido) of Richmond, BC, Serafina Banathy of Winnipeg, Antonia Paletta of Victoria and Anna Paletta (Ali Hosein) of Ottawa; grandchildren, Gloria of Whitehorse, Robert (Sharon) of Calgary and David of Winnipeg, Lisa (Joel), Joey and Tony, all of Winnipeg and Angela (Graham) of Victoria; great-grandchildren, Skyler and Kendall of Winnipeg and Michael of Calgary; her companion Don Harris; sister-in-law Maria Paletta; friend Saveria Marra; nieces and nephews, Rosa (Sam), Salvatore (Isabella), Joe (Mary), Anna (Salvatore), Francis, Viera (Carmelo), Silvano (Louisa) and their children, all in Winnipeg and family members in Italy and Belgium. Prayers will be offered in McCALL BROS. FLORAL CHAPEL, Johnson and Vancouver Streets, on Friday, September 8 at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. B. Laplante in ST. ANDREWS CATHEDRAL, View and Blanshard Streets, on Saturday, September 9 at 12:10 noon, followed by interment at Royal Oak Burial Park. RIPOSA IN PACE, MAMMA McCALL BROS. OF VICTORIA (250) 385-4465
