WALTER NELSON BALLANTINE September 6, 2000 at age 92 Walter died peacefully at his home at Rock Lake Personal Care, Pilot Mound, MB with family by his side. He leaves his worldly bonds to join his wife Elizabeth (1997), his daughter Della (2000) and grandson Clinton (1079). Walter was born May 15, 1908 at the family farm in Marryinghurst district. He married Elizabeth Conrad in 1931 and they resided in the Marringhurst / Glenora area for 64 years. He joined Elizabeth in Pilot Mound Prairie View Lodge in 1995, moving to his final home at Rock Lake P.C. in 1997. Walters memory will be forever cherished by his children Doris (Bill) Kynoch, Charlotte Balkham, Elwin (Gail) Ballantine, Anita (Fred) Garbett, Kay (Barry) McGill; son-in-law Harold Reimer; 22 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; his brother Ralph (Alice) Ballantine; sister Lena Murray; many in-laws, nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, five sisters, and one brother. Funeral services at Pilot Mound United Church at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 9 followed by interment at Greenwood Cemetery. Rev. Alan Armstrong officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Rock Lake Personal Care Home or the Rock Lake Handi-Van Fund. Grahams Funeral Service of Pilot Mound in care of arrangements.
