ENA BALDERSTONE June 18, 1912 - September 8, 2000 Celebration of Life, 2:30 p.m., Monday, September 11, 2000, St. Pauls Anglican Church, Balderstone Road, Middlechurch. Peacefully at her home on Friday, September 8, 2000, Ena passed away at the age of 88 years. She will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her husband Chic; son Jack (Arlene) Balderstone of Middlechurch; daughters, Pat (Larry) Prokop of Edmonton, Barbara (Dave) Zayac of Birds Hill and Christine Morgan of Winnipeg; sisters, Peggy McGougan of Winnipeg and Isabelle (Al) Carther of Ft. Erie, ON. Her memory will be cherished by her 12 grandchildren, David, Sean, Brian, Gordon, Jeff, Jane, Allan, Jennifer, Kathryn, Danielle Tami, and Ryan; 11 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Marjorie Wiens; sons-in-law, Gary Gzebb and Wayne Morgan. Ena was a Middlechurch pioneer who lived her entire married life of 64 years in her present home. She was a wonderful wife and proud mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother always interested in the family unit, remembering birthdays and special occasions - even up until the present time, spoke of dinners and family gatherings. In May of this year she attended her granddaughters wedding and had a wonderful time. In her earlier years, Ena was employed at Sanford Evans and the Seven Oaks School Division. She was a season ticket holder for the Bombers for many years, curled at the West St. Paul Curling Club, and a life member of St. Pauls Anglican Church devoting many hours to their activities. Ena volunteered many years at the Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg and was currently attending their Day Program on Tuesday. Our heartfelt gratitude is extended to the wonderful care givers who attended to our parents every need in such a loving manner both inside and outside their home - be it outings, weeding, planting the flowers and vegetables, trimming trees etc. while Mom supervised from the sun room. "To Kristia, Jennifer, Kathy, Norma, Joan, Lakech, and Jim - We thank you ever so much. You are special people." Cremation has taken place and a celebration of her life will be held at St. Pauls Anglican Church, Balderstone Road, Middlechurch at 2:30 p.m., Monday, September 11 with Rev. Fraser Hunter officiating. Interment at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Pauls Church Building Fund, 299 Balderstone Rd., West St. Paul, MB R4A 4A5. You will always hold a special place in our hearts. Arrangements entrusted to Cropo Funeral Chapel, 586-8044.
