Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALAN (AL) DEACON Surrounded in the love of his family, Alan passed away at the age of 73 on August 18, 2000 in Burnaby General Hospital, Vancouver, B.C. after a courageous battle with cancer. A devoted husband and father Alan is lovingly remembered by his wife of 53 years, Rita, his sons, Ralph (Barbara), Randy (Donna), Craig (Debbie) and daughters Arlene (Larry), Tannis (Andy.) Alan was also the treasured grandfather to ten grandchildren and uncle to numerous nieces and nephews, whom he loved very much. Alan also leaves to mourn his memory, his brother and sisters-in-law, Edward and Olga Page and Ida and Doug Wilson of Winnipeg, and Pat Deacon and family from California. Alan was born in Winnipeg, October 7, 1926 and was predeceased by his mother and father, Ormond and Catherine Deacon and brothers Roy and Lorne. Alans strength and compassion and his enormous love of life will be sadly missed by his family and all the good friends his presence touched during his life. A memorial service to celebrate his life was held August 24, 2000 at Forest Lawn Chapel in Burnaby, B.C. Donations may be made in Alans name to the Canadian Cancer Society in the hopes that a cure may be found "Till we meet again" "Love you
