ALEX HASTMAN It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, Alex Hastman on September 8, 2000 at East Gate Lodge in Beausejour, with his family at his side. Alex was the oldest child born to August and Albertina Hastman on October 3, 1911. Alex married Lillian (nee Freund) on May 18, 1946 and together they raised four children, GERTRUDE and her husband Dennis Zieske and their children- DUANE (Heather) and their son Dedrick; KEVIN; BEVERLY and her husband Barry Paseska and their children- BRENT (Kim) and their daughters Hope and Mackenzey; BRADLEY; BREANNE; DENNIS and children SCOTT, SHELDON (Kim) and their daughter Brooklyn; SANDY; ALLEN (Darcy) and their children CHAD and KRYSTIN. He is also survived by his siblings Lydia Buss, Edith Peitsch, Elsie Buss, Wanda Sachvie, Charles Hastman, Edward Hastman, Ruth Kroll, Leo Hastman and Edna Rosin. Dad was predeceased by his wife Lillian in 1991, his father in 1962, mother in 1975 and one brother Arnold in 1958. Dad spent his entire married life farming and raising his family in the Beausejour area. His most enjoyable times were spent outdoors either hunting, gardening, picking berries or taking drives in the country. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday September 12 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Pauls Lutheran Church, Green Bay, with Pastor Arleen Berg officiating. Family and friends may pay their respects at the church prior to the service. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Scott and Sheldon Hastman, Brent and Bradley Paseska, Duane and Kevin Zieske. We would like to thank the staff at East Gate Lodge for the care given to Dad during his stay there. Flowers are gratefully declined.
