BERYL JOYCE (nee MOON) July 16, 1915 - September 8, 2000 Peacefully, on September 8, 2000 at the Grace Hospital with her family by her side, Beryl quietly slipped away from this world. Beryl was born July 16, 1915 at Tyle Hill, England later at the age of six her family moved to Canada, settling in the Petersfield area. Several years later, her family moved to Winnipeg, settling in the Sturgeon Creek area. Here in Winnipeg, Beryl met her husband to be and they were married on April 27, 1940 in St. Andrews Anglican Church and set up their home on Vernon Road. Here their first child was born, a daughter Sandra (Millar). After the war they bought a new home on Garden Road and here their second child, Richard was born in 1947. Here they resided for 45 years. They built a summer home at Betula Lake which Beryl got many years of pleasure from. Beryl was always an active Artist, and was a Life Member of the St. James Art Club. Her work was distributed over many parts of the world, Bermuda, England, U.S.A. and every province in Canada. In 1988 after Richard retired, they moved to Victoria, BC, but soon found they missed their family and moved back to Winnipeg, settling in the Courts of St. James. She leaves to mourn, her husband Richard; daughter Sandra (Gerald Millar) and son Richard (Judith) and grandchildren, Darcy (Sam), Chad, Kyle and great-grandchildren, Cassidy, Reilly and Christine. Also sisters, Betty (Doug Metsgar), Clare Friesen, Mary (Harry Marlow) brothers, Ewart (Eva) Moon, Bert (Barbara Moon). And also leaves to mourn numerous nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents, Alfred and Cora Moon; brother Douglas and sister Olive. When day is done, and shadows fall I think of You I think of all the little things we used to do I miss your smile, your warm sweet smile The long day through, But most of all when day is done I miss just you Good night Beryl, Love, Richard Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, September 13 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Andrews Anglican Church, 2700 Portage Ave. with Rev. Canon Arthur Thompson officiating. Following a reception in the church basement, the interment will take place at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens, 4477 Main St. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Beryls memory to the Grace General Hospital Foundation Inc., 300 Booth Drive, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3J 3M7.
