Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLORRAINE VERONIQUE CHARTRAND (May 6, 1945 - September 8, 2000) Peacefully on September 8, 2000, surrounded by her loving family at the Health Sciences Centre, Lorraine Veronique Chartrand passed away at the age of 55. Left to treasure her memory is her loving husband Edward (Dick) and children, Desmond, Cynthia (Andrew), Chris (Allison) and Alex; brothers, Eugene, Francis and Gordon Nepinak; sisters, Delia Chartrand, Leona Nepinak and Gertrude VanDenBerg; grandchildren, Robin and Rebecca Chartrand with many nieces, nephews, extended family. Lorraine was predeceased by her parents, Jerome and Christina Nepinak; brothers, Valentine and John Nepinak; sister Martha Thompson. Lorraine was a wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend, she will be fondly remembered for her great sense of humour, love and compassion for people and life. Family and friends are invited to attend a prayer service at the Aboriginal Funeral Chapel, 724 Selkirk Ave., Winnipeg, MB. On September 12 from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m., Lorraine will then be taken home to Pine Creek Reserve. A prayer vigil will be held on September 14 in the Camperville Hall at 4:00 p.m. The funeral service will be on September 15 at Our Lady of Seven Sorrows Church at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Seven Sorrows Parish Cemetery, Camperville, MB.
