STELLA (STANISLAWA) ZYSK Peacefully, on Sunday, September 10, 2000, at the Seven Oaks Hospital, Stella Zysk passed away at the age of 77 years. Stella was born in Sieczychy, Poland on December 15, 1922. She came to Canada in 1959. Stella worked for many years at St. Josephs Nursing Home. Her hobbies were needlepoint, gardening, fishing with her husband, blueberry and mushroom picking. Stella also enjoyed cooking and having her family over for dinner. For Stella, family was always the most important thing in her life, and she was dearly loved by all of her family. Stella was a very religious person and she belonged to Holy Ghost Church ever since she came to Canada in 1959. She was predeceased by her father Jan Skladanek and mother Zofia Teofilak. Stella will be greatly missed by her husband Antoni Zysk; children, Teresa (Chester), Stan (Anne), Mary (Dave), Kaz (Sharon) many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister Rozalia Rybinska and many relatives in Poland and in Canada. The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to the nursing staff on Unit 5-5th floor Seven Oaks Hospital for all their compassion and loving care. Prayers will be said on Tuesday, September 12, at 8:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 13, at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church, 341 Selkirk Ave. with an Oblate Father officiating. Interment will follow in Holy Ghost Cemetery. Cropo Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements, 586-8044
