MARLENE JUNE EASTVELD (nee DONALDSON) Born June 5, 1936 Upon the breeze that carried your soul to rest, our souls did follow. It is with great sorrow that suddenly a shining star in our lives passed away on September 8, 2000, at Kelowna General Hospital, in the presence of her beloved husband and children. Mother, Mom, Mommy, will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. A part of our souls will accompany her on the journey. Mom passed away while travelling in the mountains of British Columbia, one of her most favourite places; our hearts do cry as our eyes will too. We will remember you each day that comes, never to forget. We will speak to you as you will to us any moment of the day. On the wind of a doves wings, Under the warm sun, a beautiful flower drifted away. One more light will forever shine in our evening sky, Helping to see us through each day and guide our way, Until we meet again on the other side of morning. Your essence will forever stay within our hearts and the memories Shall live forever deep within our souls for all eternity. Marlene was Pauls soulmate and best friend for 50 years, an eternity of love in Dads eyes. Marlene was born and lived in Winnipeg where she met Paul and shared her life with many friends along the way. She grew up in St. James and later moved to Charleswood where they lived for many years. Marlene is preceded by her mother Mae and grandmother Maude. Marlene will be mourned by her husband Paul; father Earl (Donaldson) her children, Wayne (Catherine), Wendy (Ross) Redman, Jo Anne (Randy) Stankewich, Kenneth (Karen) her grandchildren, Brett, Daniel, Matthew, Amber, Ryan, Brittany and Cheryl. Marlene will also be missed by her sister Beverly (Stan) Edmunds; brother Bruce (Phil) and sister Laurie Donaldson and all of their children; Pauls brothers, sisters and their families and their best friends, Tom and Shirley Sanderson and all that knew her. Our deepest thanks to the staff at Kelowna General Hospital for their compassion and gentle touch in our time of need. Special thanks to Chuck and Kim Wilsone. Their love helped carry us through our time of need. Hug, Hug; Kiss, Kiss; Mom forever As per Marlenes request there will be no service as she was cremated. Due to her love for animals, we ask that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society on Kent Road.
