Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGLADYS MAY LADLY At Deer Lodge Centre in Winnipeg, September 11, 2000 in her 84th years, "Glady" took the journey to be reunited with her husband "Jack" who predeceased her in 1997. She will also be joining her parents, Daniel and Edith Salmon; brothers, Arthur, William, Daniel, Harold and Edward; sisters, Edith "Nell" (Willis), Emma (Whitesell) and Anne (Lindsay) in a Salmon Family Reunion which she always enjoyed. She is survived by daughter Jacqueline (Kenn) Tuttle of Winnipeg; grandchildren Tim (Beverly) of Kingston, Todd of Ottawa and Tammy (Philip) Letts of Vancouver; great-grandchildren, Kirstie and Shaylah Tuttle, Elliot and Emma Letts; special niece Murreen Briggs of Barrie; sisters-in-law Pearl Salmon, Jean Salmon, Judy Salmon and Fran Ladly as well as many loved nieces, nephews and friends. Born in North Bay, Ontario in 1917, she married "Jack" in 1940 and spent her married life as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. A lifelong member of the United Church, she enjoyed "old-time" sing-alongs, puzzles, card games, travel and just visiting with relatives, close friends and neighbours who will all miss her great sense of humour. Recently she was a resident of Oakview Place Extendicare in Winnipeg. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your favourite charity or the Headingley United Church, Garden of Memories, in care of Headingley United Church, 110 Bridge Road, Headingley, Manitoba, R4H 1G3. A very special thank-you to Doctor Scott Young, Doctor de Muller and the wonderful care-giving staff of the TACT Unit at Deer Lodge Centre 3E where Gladys spent her final days. Thanks also to the doctors and staff of Deer Lodge Centre 4W and Oakview Place 2nd floor. Cremation has taken place. Internment will take place at Terrace Lawn in North Bay on Friday, September 22 at 2:00 p.m. A Memorial Service and reception to celebrate her life will take place at the Martyn Funeral Home in North Bay on Saturday, September 23 at 2:00 p.m. Arrangements entrusted to Chapel Lawn Funeral Home in Winnipeg and Martyn Funeral Home in North Bay.
