Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJEAN MacDONALD November 9, 1916 - September 11, 2000 It is with great sorrow that the family announces the passing of their beloved wife, mother and grandmother, Jean MacDonald, on September 11, 2000, at Seven Oaks Hospital. She will be sadly missed by her husband Dan of 54 years; her daughter Doreen (Garry) son Jim (Josie) granddaughters, Stacey and Laura Derhak and Elsie MacDonald all of Calgary, Alta. Jean will also be remembered by her brother-in-law Bill Skinner and sister-in-law Gladys McDonald. She was predeceased by her father William McDonald, mother Margaret (Dickson) brothers, Dick, Ian and Bob; sister Margaret Skinner and cousin Burnett McDonald. Jean was a resident of Middlechurch for 47 years and enjoyed her life there with her family. She was treasurer for the Middlechurch Ladies Legion Auxiliary for 12 years. She enjoyed curling, baking and spending time with her granddaughters. A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 15, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St., with the Rev. Fraser Hunter officiating. A gathering of family and friends will follow in the Glen Eden Reception Centre. Jean will be laid to rest with her parents in the Garden of Everlasting Life at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jeans memory to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St. Arrangements entrusted to: GLEN EDEN FUNERAL HOME 4477 MAIN STREET 338-7111
