DIETRICH (DICK) REMPEL Peacefully into the presence of his Lord and Saviour on September 13, 2000 at Concordia Place with his family at his side, Dick Rempel died at the age of 74 years. He is survived by his brothers, Jake Willms of Kelowna, BC, Peter (Mary), John, Henry (Tina), Ed (Sylvia), Walter (Norma), and sisters, Anita (Neil) Kasper, Margaret (Fred) Heese, and sister-in-law Elsie Rempel, and many nieces and nephews. Dick grew up in Grunthal, MB. He had many good years in various employment situations like the cheese factory, florist shop and lumber yard. The family wishes to thank Dr. H. Dirks and the staff at Concordia Place for their kind services to Dick during his illness. Special thanks go to his niece Colleen Bergen and his sister-in-law Elsie Rempel for the many hours of devoted and caring visitation and kindness they showed to Dick. Funeral service will be held on Monday, September 18 at 10:00 a.m. at Klassen Funeral Chapel, 1897 Henderson Hwy. in Winnipeg, with viewing at the chapel prior to the service. Interment will take place in the Grunthal Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Arthritis Society, Ste. 105-386 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB R3C 3R6, or to a charity of ones choice. Arrangements entrusted to Klassen Funeral Chapel, 338-0331.
