VICTOR TERRENCE (TERRY) CLEMONS May 27, 1949 - September 14, 2000 On a beautiful fall morning, T.C. passed away at the Health Sciences Centre after a lengthy illness. He is survived by his loving wife and friend, Debra and mother Mildred (Toots). He was predeceased by his father Edward. Terry leaves to mourn brothers and sisters, Lionel (Joy), Reg (Judy), Darlene (Denis), Fern (Albert), Garth (Jan), Della, Wanda (Ian), Lisa (Marlowe) and Ida (Les) as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He will be sadly missed by loyal honoured friends, Rick Gutowski (the Ogre), Raymond Freeman (Big Ray), Doug Stevenson (Buffalo) and beloved pet dogs, Ruffy and old Sophie. Terry served for five years in the R.C.N. as a firefighter, where he was stationed on the aircraft carrier, the Bonaventure at Halifax, N.S. Terry was a welder by profession, attended Red River College and received his CWB. He worked at places such as Tuktoyuktuk for Purvis Naveon and in the Beaufort Sea. He worked for Comstock building power lines and at Owl Welding / Mandak in Selkirk. He was a gifted hard worker spending many hours in his workshop and was an avid collector enjoying his vintage tins and caring for the many trees he planted. Terrys boyish grin was always with him even under the most adverse conditions. Being a very humble and private person, he was known for his generosity and had a magical way for making one feel special and a better person for just knowing him. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, September 18 at 2:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made on Terrys behalf to the Childrens Wish Foundation, Manitoba Chapter, 350 St. Mary Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3C 3J2. Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk, in care of arrangements.
