JOHN WIENS May 28, 1937 - September 14, 2000 It is with great sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of their father and grandfather on September 14, 2000, in Bolivia, South America. Our dad devoted much of his life to serving God and helping others. He was well respected in the community for his wisdom and generosity, willing to make exceptional sacrifices of himself, his time and resources. He had moved to north-eastern Bolivia to peacefully live out his retirement in an environment that he loved. He will always be loved and remembered by Anna Wiens and his six children living in North America, Arthur (Laurie), Bert (Adeline), Rachel (Andrew), Monica, Veronica (Roger), Fred (Vinnie) and nine grandchildren, Alysha, Kirsten, Charis, Evan, Nathan, Amelia, Tiffany, Benjamin, Daniel, as well as other family and friends throughout Bolivia and Canada. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, September 19 at 1:00 p.m., in the World of Life Church in Niverville. "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends."
