ANDREW ROSS ANDERSON It is with deep sorrow the family announces the passing at the Carman Memorial Hospital on September 15, 2000, of Andrew Ross Anderson, aged 78 years, of Sperling, Man. Ross was born on October 31, 1921, in Carman, the second son of Robert and Elizabeth Anderson. He started school at Lydiatt, Man., but took most of his schooling at Tremont and Sperling. Ross joined the Air Force in 1941 and served overseas until 1945. He was manager of Sperling Co-op Oil and Supplies from 1952 to 1984. Ross is survived by his wife of 48 years, Jean (nee Jackson) daughter Annabelle and her husband Roland Bauche and two granddaughters, Adrienne and her fiance David Popke and Carly and her special friend Zach Penner. Also surviving are three sisters, Marian Anderson of Morris, June Roberts of Winnipeg and Betty Jewell of Rosser and two brothers, Bob (Corinne) of Victoria, B.C., and Allan (Marian) of Olds, Alta.; sisters-in-law, Ruth Anderson of Carman, Eileen Hennan of Roland and brother-in-law and sister-in-law George and Donna Jackson of Miami, Man., as well as many nieces and nephews. Ross was predeceased by his parents Robert and Elizabeth Anderson; brother Gordon; brothers-in-law, Melvin Anderson, Wilfred Roberts, Bill Jewell and Lorne Hennan and sister-in-law and brother-in-law Mae and David Ellis. The family wishes to express our deep appreciation to Dr. Hataley, Dr. Dreyer, Deb Penner, Curtis McCutcheon and the caring nursing staff at Carman Memorial Hospital, and to Dr. Fine at St. Boniface Hospital. At Rosss request cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at Doyles Funeral Chapel in Carman on Tuesday, September 19, at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Wayne Larstone officiating. Interment will be in the family plot in the Sperling Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to a charity of ones choice. A loving husband, father and grandfather will be greatly missed. Doyles of Carman in care of arrangements.
