GERTRUDE FLORENCE WILSON (nee ROBERTSON) Peacefully on September 16, 2000, Gertrude Florence Wilson went to be with her beloved late husband Tom, at the age of 87 years. Gertrude was predeceased by her loving husband Tom Wilson in 1986; her father Herbert Allan Robertson and mother Edith Clara Robertson; two brothers, Herbert Allan Robertson and Arthur Lewis Robertson and by her sister Edith Storrie. She is survived by two nephews, Bill Robertson of Calgary and H. A. Robertson of Winnipeg and their families; niece Nancy Robertson of Brandon; great-nephews, Hartley Miller of Prince George, B.C., and David Ritchie of Brandon and one great-niece Chloe Robertson of Calgary. Gertrude was born in Winnipeg where she remained throughout her life. Gertrude worked for many years at the House of Florence and later at Holt Renfrew. She was known for her style, grace and positive attitude. The great love of her life was her husband Tom and although she will be missed by those who knew her, comfort is taken in knowing they are reunited forever. There will be a funeral service at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 20, in the Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway, with interment in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. Special thanks to Linda and Doug Baker and their family who have been terrific friends and support to Gert and to the nurses and staff of Beacon Hill Lodge for their outstanding care for Gert during time there.
