PENNY WIRVIN (nee STEVENSON) Peacefully and with her family by her side, it is with great sorrow we announce the passing of Penny on September 15, 2000. Penny was predeceased by her mother and father. She will be sadly missed by Dennis, her devoted husband of 27 years; her loving sons, Tyler and Ryan; sister Leslie (Tom), twin sister Patty (Wayne) brother Rob (Irene) nieces and nephews as well as brothers and sisters-in-law and many friends who were close to her heart. Penny was born June 24, 1947 and lived all her life in Winnipeg. She loved the family cottage at West Hawk Lake where she spent many happy summers since childhood. Her love of the lake was instilled in her Husband and sons. Her greatest pleasures were the boat rides, the many poker games, long walks, refreshing swims and the peace and tranquility that surrounded her there. In the city, dining out with her husband, family and close friends was one of her great passions. Penny was very involved in her sons athletic activities - especially Hockey. She was always there with encouragement and support. Penny was a very strong, courageous person with a great sense of humour. Her spirit and determination will continue to be an inspiration to us all. At Pennys request, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Wednesday, September 20 at 10:30 a.m. at Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 Des Meurons St. Special thanks to Dr. Nielsens Homeopathic Clinic. The family would also like to express their heartfelt thank you and appreciation to all at the Palliative Care Unit at St. Boniface Hospital.
