WINIFRED LILLIAN HUGHES (nee MORRIS) December 16, 1929 - September 16,2000 Peacefully with her family by her side, Winifred Lillian Hughes passed away at St. Boniface Hospital on September 16, 2000 after a brief illness. She will be sadly missed by her loving husband Denny, children Paula (Darren), Scott (Denyse) and grandchildren Nicholas and Amy. Her loss will also be mourned by her seven brothers, five sisters, numerous nieces, nephews and the entire Hughes family. Wynne was born and raised in Winnipeg and spent most of her life living in East Kildonan. She was a member of Girls Club and Hawthorne. Her happiest moments wer spent camping with her family at Birds Hill Park. Most recently it was her grandchildren who brought her the greatest joy. She will be remembered most by family and friends for never forgetting a birthday or anniversary, the gifts she would knit, and the yearly Christmas Eve open house. She could always be relied upon for support during a time of need. The family would like to thank all the staff of 5A South Medicine for their care, kindness and compasssion. A celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday, September 20 at 2:00 p.m. at Klassen Funeral Chapel, 1897 Henderson Hwy. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Childrens Hospital 108-671 William Ave., R3E 0Z2 or Heart and Stroke Foundation, 301-352 Donald St. R3B 2H8.
