Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILFRED DOUGLAS BOYES Peacefully on Thursday, September 14, 2000, Doug passed away at the age of 84 at Grace General Hospital. He was predeceased by his parents and one sister Kathleen. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 60 years Evelyn, sister Eleanor Saunders of Burnaby, son Richard (Angela) and daughter Marlene (Victor) Bayko, his pride and joy were his four granddaughters, Rhonda, Tammy, Debra and Deanne and his three great-granddaughters, Alicia, Tashera and Shaylea, as well as many friends. Doug was born in Moose Jaw on December 7, 1915. He worked for C.P. Express for 43 years before retiring in 1976. He was a member of Beaver Masonic Lodge 139 for 50 years and was also Past President of Khartum Chanters. Doug was a member of Sturgeon Creek United Church. Many thanks to Dr. Russ Alback and the nurses and staff of Grace General Hospital for their loving care and also to the many friends who visited Doug during his illness. A memorial service will be held at Sturgeon Creek United Church on Friday, October 6 at 2:00 p.m. A gathering of family and friends will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Grace General Hospital, 300 Booth Dr., Winnipeg, R3J 3M7 or the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 301-352 Donald St., Winnipeg R3B 2H8 in Dougs memory.
