Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJULIA ANNE SEMENIUK (nee BILINSKI) Julia Ann Semeniuk (nee Bilinski) of Central Park Lodge, Brandon, MB died on Monday, September 18, 2000. Julia was born April 6, 1906 at Podszumlance, Old Poland. She came to Canada in 1928 and married Nickolas Semeniuk in February 1931 at Brandon, MB. They moved to Pipestone in 1938 and as her husband retired from C.P.R. in 1953, moved back to Brandon where she remained the rest of her life. Julia worked at St. Michaels Academy in the kitchen as head cook until St. Michaels Academy closed. Julia then worked at the Brandon General Hospital in housekeeping until retiring in 1971. She joined the Senior Bowling League, also, the Seniors Friday Afternoon Dancing. Julia loved baking and cooking, but her first love was her garden. She was a giving person, always willing to help out. She enjoyed her family and her grandchildren very much. One of her highlights in life was to travel back to Poland in 1978 to visit her brother and his wife after not seeing them for 50 years. Julia was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Nickolas, in 1984; son Joseph in 1932; her brother in 1986 and her sister in 1973, both of Poland. She is survived by daughter Pauline (Fred) Keilback; son Tom (Beverley) grandchildren, Jacqueline, Justin, Brittany, Shane and Chris, Brent and Karen; great-grandchildren Kelsey, Bryce and Eric. Prayers will be said at the Brockie Donovan Chapel, on Wednesday, September 20 at 8:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Hedwigs Roman Catholic Church on Thursday, September 21 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in the Brandon Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tom Semeniuk, Justin Semeniuk, Shane Keilback, Brent Keilback, Ken Gordon and Brian Nelson. Donations, in memory of Julia, may be made to a charity of choice.
