ALVINA PEARL POCKETT It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Alvina Pearl Pockett on September 18, 2000 at Carman Memorial Hospital peacefully with her daughter at her side. She leaves to cherish her memory, her beloved husband Harvey; her daughter Angel (Will) her stepdaughter Kathy (Joey) her grandchildren, Aaron, Samantha, Bonnie, Michael and Brett; and her mother Alvina Kabernick. She also leaves to mourn her passing her brothers and sisters, Albert P. Hall from England, Bert McCumber, Elenanor Hall, Harold McCumber, Gordon (Eleanore) Demke, Flo (Wolf) Zimmermann, Fred (Norma) Demkey, Eddy Demkey, Raymond (Betty) Demkey, Len (Pat) Demkey, her twin brother Albert (Linda) Hall, Tina (Leo) Kozminski, Ernie (Angie) Hall, Liz Chesney, Randy Hall, George (Betty) Hall, Arthur Hall and many numerous nieces and nephews. Alvina is predeceased by her father Percy Hall in 1979. Honorary pallbearers will be all her brothers and her pallbearers will be her nephews, Danny Kozminski, Tim Chesney, Bryan Chesney, Aaron Magnusson, Shane Magnusson and Percy Hall. A public viewing will be held at Doyles Funeral Chapel in Carman on Wednesday September 20, from 7:00-9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held from the Carman Gospel Light Church in Carman, Manitoba on Thursday, September 21, at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Terry Carter officiating. Lunch will follow immediately after the service with a private family interment at St. Clements Cemetery, in Selkirk, Manitoba. Memorial donations may be made to a trust fund in memory of Alvina for her grandchildren, c/o the Toronto Dominion Bank, Box 729, Carman, Manitoba, R0G 0J0. Doyles of Carman in care of arrangements.
