MARY ELIZABETH GOOD (nee Calderwood) Peacefully, on September 18, 2000 at the age of 81 years, at Rosewood Lodge, Stonewall, our Dear Mother, Grandmother and Great-grandmother passed away with her family by her side. Mary was predeceased by her husband Edward in 1974; son Jim in 1987; brother Andrew Calderwood; sister and brother-in-law Lillian and Ewart Good; nephew Bryan Good; brothers-in-law, Dave Willis and Alton Peterson. Mary is survived by her sons, Alvin and Bill; daughters, Beverly (Bill) Watkinson, Joan (Dennis) Schaeffer, Marilynn (Cliff) Lillies; daughter-in-law Vivian Good (Dave) ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, Brent (Dana) and Logan Good, Kim (Clay), Quintin and Sydney Stamler, Sean (Monica) and Amber Good, Jamie (Tammy), Corey and Braeden Good, Crystle Good (Simon), Douglas Watkinson (Kimberley), Tracy and Ryan Fidler, Brad (Paula) and Carleen Schaeffer, Stuart Schaeffer (Shelly) and Daryl Schaeffer. Also her sisters, Annie Willis and Olive Peterson and sister-in-law Bev Calderwood and many nieces and nephews. Mom especially enjoyed having her family home for the special occasions. Her kitchen was the favourite room in her home as her baking was her special talent. She was a member of the Rockwood Agricultural Society for many years as well as participating in the baking competition that won her many prizes. She was a lifetime member of the Acadia Rebekahs Lodge. Mom enjoyed playing shuffleboard at Argyle in the summer and watching curling in the winter. She was an active member of the ladies church group at St. Johns Brant Anglican Church. Funeral service will be conducted by Rev. Jodi Miles at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 20 in the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Stonewall with interment in Stonewall Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Brent, Sean and Jamie Good, Brad, Stuart and Daryl Schaeffer and Doug Watkinson. Her three granddaughters, Kim Stamler, Crystle Good and Tracy Fidler will be honourary pallbearers. The family wishes to express a sincere thank you to the staff at Rosewood Lodge for their excellent care and compassion. If friends so desire donations may be made in Marys memory to Rosewood Lodge or to a charity of your choice. MacKenzie Funeral Home Stonewall in care of the arrangements.
