Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANTON OMELYANOVICH KRIWUNCHENKO Anton Kriwunchenko, aged 94 years, passed away at the Central Park Lodge on Saturday, September 16, 2000. Anton was born in Miluvatka, Luhansk Region, Ukraine on December 19, 1905. He came to Canada in 1951 and settled in Thunder Bay, ON, working there for 20 years as a shipping worker. He retired from the Thunder Bay Docks and then settled in Winnipeg until his demise. He will be sadly missed by his great-nephew Volodymyr Lyba, as well as several relatives in Ukraine, whom he helped out as much as he could. He was predeceased by his wife Olga July 25, 2000; three sisters, Anna, Hanna and Vera. The family wishes to express sincere thanks to the staff at Central Park Lodge for all their care, kindness and compassion shown to Anton. Special thanks to Tom Harrison in helping to place Anton at Central Park Lodge to make his last days as comfortable as possible. Prayers will be said this evening, Tuesday, September 19 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. at Luxton Avenue. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 20 at 10:00 a.m. at the Metropolitan Cathedral of the Holy Trinity, 1175 Main St., with Fr. A. Harkavyi officiating. Interment to follow in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. Vichnaya Pamyat Cropo Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements 586-8044.
