THERESE VIELFAURE (nee GOULET) With sadness and love, we announce the peaceful passing to eternal life of our dear mother and grandmother, Therese, on Saturday, September 16, 2000 at Victoria General Hospital, at the age of 70. Therese was predeceased by her loving husband Ovide in 1993, by her brothers, Gerard, Roger and Gaston, and her parents Elodia (Herard) and Joseph Goulet. Deeply missing her are her children Gisele (Michel) Chartier and their children, Maryse, Miguel, Caryne, Rheal; Gilbert (Rachel Therrien) Vielfaure and their children, Eric, Dielle, Brianne; Rene Vielfaure; Sylvie (Russ) Kathler and their daughter Natalie. Therese is also lovingly remembered by her sister, Sr. Lucile Goulet, s.c.o., and her brothers Maurice (Eliane), Fernand (Liliane), Claude (Cecile), and Marcel (Claudette), as well as her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Raoul (Alice) Vielfaure and Denise (Maurice) Nadeau. Therese was born in Verner, Ontario September 7, 1930 where she grew up and received most of her schooling. She completed her high school in Ottawa and went on to obtain her teaching certificate from the Ottawa Normal School. Therese always spoke fondly of the years she spent teaching in the Ottawa and Sudbury areas. On June 18, 1959, Therese and Ovide were married at the St. Boniface Cathedral. They began their life together on the family farm in LaBroquerie, MB. In 1965, the family relocated to Lorette, MB, where Ovide became the proprietor of the Shell Canada bulk plant, a family business in which Therese played an active role. Therese was a special woman of faith and prayer, who touched many lives. She was an inspiration to all who knew her. Most dear to her heart, was the upbringing of her children and the nurturing of her family in an atmosphere of music, laughter and love. Therese was a resident of Foyer Valade in St. Vital since 1998. It is with great faith and serenity that she faced and accepted life with Alzheimers disease. Viewing will take place at 1:00 p.m. followed by the Mass of Resurrection in the Notre-Dame-de-Lorette Roman Catholic Church (Lorette, MB) at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 21, presided by Father Maurice Jeanneau. Interment will follow at the La Broquerie Cemetery. The family wishes to sincerely thank the staff of Foyer Valade (3rd floor) for their genuine caring and kindness for Mom, as well as the staff of Victoria General Hospital and Nancy from Complete Care for their exceptional care. Therese fut precedee a la tombe par son mari Ovide en 1993, par ses freres Gerard, Roger et Gaston, et par ses parents Elodia (Herard) et Joseph Goulet. Elle laisse dans le deuil ses enfants Gisele (Michel) Chartier et leurs enfants, Maryse, Miguel, Caryne, Rheal; Gilbert (Rachel Therrien) Vielfaure et leurs enfants, Eric, Dielle, Brianne; Rene Vielfaure; Sylvie (Russ) Kathler et leur fille Natalie. Elle laisse aussi sa soeur, Sr Lucile Goulet, s.c.o., ses freres Maurice (Eliane), Fernand (Liliane), Claude (Cecile), et Marcel (Claudette), ainsi que ses beaux-freres et belles-soeurs Raoul (Alice) Vielfaure et Denise (Maurice) Nadeau. Therese vit le jour le 7, septembre 1930 a Verner, Ontario, ou elle grandit et fit ses premieres etudes. Elle completa son secondaire a Ottawa et obtint par la suite son certificat denseignante a lEcole Normale dOttawa. Elle garda toujours un bon souvenir de ses annees denseignement a Ottawa et Sudbury. Le 18 juin, 1959, Therese epousa Ovide en la Cathedrale de Saint-Boniface. Ils passerent leurs premieres annees ensemble a la ferme familiale a LaBroquerie, MB. En 1965, la famille demenagea a Lorette, MB ou Ovide devint le proprietaire du plant de Shell, entreprise a laquelle Therese contribua grandement. Therese fut une femme de foi et de priere bien speciale qui marqua la vie de plusieurs. Elle se soucia particulierement de leducation de ses enfants et sengagea bien volontier aux activities paroissiales. Depuis 1998, Therese fut residente au Foyer Valade a St-Vital. Cest avec une foi profonde quelle affronta et accepta la maladie dAlzheimer au cours de ses dernieres annees. Un visionnement aura lieu a 13h00 suivi de la Messe de la Resurrection a 13h30 en lEglise Notre-Dame-de-Lorette (Lorette, MB) le jeudi 21 septembre, avec M. labbe Maurice Jeanneau celebrant. Linhumation suivra au Cimetiere de LaBroquerie. La famille desire remercier chaleureusement le personnel du Foyer Valade (3e) pour tant de delicatesses et tendres soins a legard de Maman, ainsi que le personnel de lHopital general Victoria pour leurs bons soins.
