MARY ANNE HUK Peacefully, on Monday, September 18, 2000 at the Fisher Personal Care Home, Mary passed away, at the age of 92 years. She was predeceased by her husband Gregory (Harry) in 1968; her parents, Kajetan and Katrazyna Ciszewski; brothers and sisters, two nieces, one nephew and one great-nephew. She is survived by one daughter, Donna (Don) Gauthier, Fisher Branch, MB. Mary was born is Husavick, MB, July 10, 1908, on the homestead. It was there that she grew up, and worked as a store keeper and a baker. Mary married Gregory Huk in 1948, they then moved to Arnes, MB where they farmed for 19 years. When they retired from farming they moved to Gimli, where Gregory passed away, 6 months later. Mary worked as a cook, for five years, until she retired in 1973. She enjoyed her family, friends, pets, gardening, flowers, knitting, cooking and most of all she enjoyed baking. Mary moved to Fisher Branch to be closer to her daughter and son-in-law. Her health declined in 1993 and she was admitted to the Arborg Personal Care Home and then moved to the Fisher Personal Care Home, until she passed away. God Bless you Mom and may you Rest In Peace. Funeral service will be held on Friday, September 22 at 2:00 p.m. at the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, in Fisher Branch, MB. Interment to follow, at the St. Peter and Pauls Greek Catholic Church Cemetery, in Arnes, MB, Rev. David Kowalski officiating.
