JULIA KAPLINSKI (DUMA) 1900 - 2000 Peacefully with her loving family at her bedside, Mom passed away on Wednesday, September 13, 2000 at the age of 100 years. Julia was born in Krakow, Poland and came to Canada at the age of 12 along with her mom, sisters and brother. She will be greatly missed by her children, son Joe (Rose) daughter-in-law Elizabeth Duma; daughter Helen Struss; son Edward (Alexis) son Casey (Nellie) son Tony (Elsie), son Gene (Eleanor) daughter Carol (Paul Mazur), son Larry (Sally) daughter Dallas (Tony Biegun) grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Julia was predeceased by her parents, Sabina and Gregory Tychowicz; brother Stanley; sisters, Nellie Parry, Frances Petrowski and Carrie Sabada. Her husband Albin Kaplinski in 1967 and her first husband Anton Duma in 1935; her infant son Victor and son Frank; her grandsons, David Duma, Robert Struss (Carol) and son-in-law Joe Struss. Mom was lovingly cared for by her daughter Dallas and son-in-law Tony until her unfortunate fall. She spent the past 3 years in St. Josephs Residence where she received wonderful care. Thank you to all the staff. Flowers gratefully declined. Donations in Julias memory may be made to a charity of your choice. Cremation has taken place and there will be a Memorial Mass celebrated on Friday, September 22, at 11:00 a.m. at St John Cantius Roman Catholic Church, 846 Burrows Avenue with Rev. Fr. Henryk Uczniak officiating. Private family inurnment at Assumption Cemetery. You came on earth as a jewel More beautiful than a peacock. You toiled like a honey bee Spreading 10 precious petals That loved and cherished you. You will always be lovingly Remembered, our Dear Mom "May you Rest in Peace."   • I love you my Gran, always remember you baking cookies and I remember also the nice talks we had, just you and I. Wish I could have know you more when I was an adult. Because of you I will be learning Polish and visting Poland in the future. I hope I can find the place you lived there.
