HARRY SEARCY It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of their father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Harry on September 16, 2000 at the Concordia Hospital. Harry will be sadly missed by his children, Linda, Don (Sandi) and Jeff (Laurie) grandchildren, Teresa (Sean), Tricia, Jason, Stefanie and great-grandchild Keenan. He will also be missed by his brother Lloyd and sister Marian. He also leaves behind other extended family and special friends. Harry was predeceased by his beloved wife Ivy in 1991; by his brothers and sisters, Edith, Flo, George, Bill, Margaret, Jack and June and special friend Marion. Harry served overseas in the Second World War as a member of the MAC. He met and married Ivy there after the war in 1945. They soon moved to Winnipeg where they would settle and raise their family. Harry worked at Weststeel until his retirement. He enjoyed travelling and golfing. He will be remembered as a very energetic, helpful and vibrant man who will be missed by all who knew him. Harrys family would like to thank all the staff at Concordia Hospital for their kind and compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire donations may be made in Harrys memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 301-352 Donald Street. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 22 in the chapel at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street. Interment in the Garden of the Old Rugged Cross at Glen Eden. A gathering of family and friends will follow in the Glen Eden Reception Centre. Arrangements entrusted to: GLEN EDEN FUNERAL HOME 4477 MAIN STREET 338-7111
