EUGENE DUFAULT 1943 - 2000 It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Eugene Dufault on September 18, after a short illness. Eugene was born and raised in St-Boniface. He attended Provencher Collegiate and College St-Joseph in Otterburne, Man. After working as a draftsman in Winnipeg and Edmonton, Alta., Eugene and his wife, Jeannette (Bohemier), settled in Winnipeg, where Eugene was employed by CBC/Radio Canada. Recently, he had been employed by Tache Nursing Home. Eugene and Jeannette had three children, Serge (Lisa Ferjan), Philippe and Michelle. In addition to his children, Eugene will be remembered by grandchildren, Adrien and Arienna; his brothers, Gabriel (Jeannine) and Leo (Daryl Kuhl) sisters, Jeannette (Ben) Kubrakovich of Gimli and Jocelyne Edwards (Norman Burns) as well as by nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Eugene was a warm and open-hearted person, always willing to help others in any way: on moving day, with a leaky faucet, or a kind word. He remained optimistic and cheerful in the face of much hardship. Prayers will take place at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 21 at Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 Desmeurons St. The Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., September 22 at Precieux-Sang Church, 200 Kenny St., Winnipeg. The family would like to thank Dr. J.B. Sharkey and the staff of Victoria General Hospital for the care they took of Eugene.
