BARBARA LAURA VANIN (WOOD) Barbara Laura Vanin (Wood), passed away early in the morning, Saturday, September 16, 2000, at the Rosthern Hospital after a brief fight with cancer. Barb was born in Winnipeg, Man., May 23, 1941. She was predeceased by her parents and her brother. She will be sadly missed by her four children, Wendy-Lori Dyck and her children, Randall Vanin, Carla Chanin and husband Rod and children, and Candace Isbister and husband Doug and child, as well as her ex-husband Sam Vanin and her sister Lorraine and her family. Barb was survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, cousins, aunts, in-laws and friends that will grieve her passing as well. Barb had made a wonderful move to Rosthern, Saskatchewan to be closer to the things she loved, garden, family, and a little place of her own. A Memorial Service will be held in Regina, Sask. at St. James United Church, 4506 Sherwood Dr. on Saturday, September 23 at 2:00 p.m. The service will be followed by a tea. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be sent to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Osteoporosis Society. Cremation arrangements were in care of Funks Funeral Home, Rosthern, Saskatchewan.
