ARTHUR COTE Peacefully, on Wednesday, September 20, 2000, Arthur Cote passed away at the Centre Medico-social du District DeSalaberry in St. Pierre at the age of 86 years. He is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years Berthe; his children, Paul (Pauline), Rita (Robert), Agnes (Jules), Doris (Paddy), Leo (Gail), Beatrice (Glenn) and Diane (Lucien) 18 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren and three sisters, Simone Gentes, Helene Dubois and Marie Maynard. Arthur was predeceased by his daughter Irene; brothers, Adelard and Noel and sisters Leona Preteau and Alice Dubois. Arthur was a carpenter by trade and he enjoyed this line of work for several years. Later, he became a truck driver until his retirement in 1986. He was a mild-tempered man who enjoyed travelling, camping, hunting and leisurely drives. Funeral services for Arthur will be held at the St. Malo Roman Catholic Church in St. Malo, Man. on Saturday, September 23. The blessing and welcoming will begin at 10:00 a.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated by Father Joseph Choiselat at 10:30 a.m. Interment will take place in the St. Malo Parish Cemetery following the mass.
