Date of Passing: Sep 20, 2000
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMAE DUNCAN (nee PALUK) It is with deepest sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother, on September 20, 2000. She was predeceased by her husband John (Jock) in 1979, her parents, sister Anne Karpinka, sister Rose Browaty and husband Fred, brother William (Bill) Paluk and his wife Peggy, as well as brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Mae is survived by her only son Jack; daughter-in-law Rosemarie and grandchildren, Scott and Lindsay whom she adored. As they grew up they enjoyed many special days with Grandma. Her kindness and generosity will be sadly missed, but the precious memories will always be with them. Mae will also be fondly remembered by her relatives whom she loved very much, in-laws, nieces and nephews and many close friends. Mae enjoyed reading, travelling, but most importantly, being with her family. In accordance with Maes wishes cremation has taken place. A private family service was held, along with the interment at the family plot along side her husband at Chapel Lawn. The family would like to thank the Donwood Manor Personal Care Home, head nurse Jane Hordik and the staff of Wing 2 South for their exceptional kindness, care and understanding. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Maes memory to Donwod Manor Personal Care Home, 171 Donwood Dr., Winnipeg, Man., R2G 0V9, or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 301 - 352 Donald St., Winnipeg, Man., R3B 2H8.
