Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLAURA IMRIE Mrs. Laura Imrie, age 84, of Swift Current, Sask. passed away Friday, September 15, 2000 in the Palliser Regional Hospital in Swift Current. A memorial service was held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 19 from the St. Stephen The Martyr Anglican Church with Rev. Beverley McLean and Rev. Duncan McLean officiating. The organist was Arlene Olson. The interment service was held Saturday, September 23 at 2:00 p.m. in the Riverside Cemetery, Dauphin, Man. Laura Imrie (nee Williamson) was born October 15, 1915 in Dauphin, Man. She worked as a nurse for many years in Flin Flon, Man. Laura took an early retirement from nursing and she and her husband Alex took over the operation of the Lobstick Club and Cabins near Flin Flon until Alex passed away in 1983. Laura then moved to Swift Current, where she has resided until her passing. Predeceased by her parents, Llewellyn and Madeline Williamson and her husband Alex Imrie in 1983. Laura is survived by her son Bill Imrie of Sydney, Australia; her granddaughter Corinne (Martin) Beaulieu of Brandon, Man.; three sisters, Dorothy (Jack) Bidewell of Winnipeg, Man., Helen (Bob) Inverarity of Olds, Alta. and Florence Chute of Kelowna, BC; one brother Jack (Queenie) Williamson of Flin Flon, Man.; three great-grandchildren as well as numerous relatives and friends in Canada, Australia, Japan and South Africa.
