JACOB KLASSEN Having suffered from arthritis for many years, peacefully after complications from a recent heart attack, at the Concordia Hospital on September 20, 2000, Jacob Klassen, beloved husband of Elizabeth, died at the age of 77 years. Besides his wife he is survived by three children, Jim and Marion Klassen, Dennis Klassen, Deborah OHara; four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, five brothers, two sisters and their families. He was predeceased by his parents, four brothers and three sisters. Jacob worked in construction for about 30 years, most of which were with Simmons. He loved his work. Funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 24, at 2:30 p.m. at Klassen Funeral Chapel, 1897 Henderson Hwy. Interment to follow in Mennonite Memorial Gardens. Viewing will be held at the chapel prior to the service. A special thanks to Dr. Mohammed and all Concordia Hospital staff and also to all friends and family who came to visit Jacob. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of ones choice. Arrangements entrusted to Klassen Funeral Chapel; 338-0331.
