Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEMMA EVELINE SCHMIDT Peacefully on Wednesday, September 20, 2000 Emma Schmidt, beloved wife of Michael, passed away at the age of 86 years at Lions Personal Care Home. Emma is survived by her sisters, Marie (Ralph) Grant of Winnipeg and Mabel (Phil) Phillips of Kingston and will be lovingly remembered by her nieces, Connie and Donna and families of Denver, Susan of Winnipeg and Lynne and family of Ottawa; nephews, John and family and Keith of Winnipeg and Mickey and family of Kingston. She was predeceased by her parents and by her brother Frederick. Emma was born in Winnipeg and lived on McDermot Avenue all her life. Emma and Michael shared 52 years of marriage and greatly enjoyed the times that were spent at their cottages at Sandy Hook and Point Du Bois. Emma worked for many years at T. Eaton Co. as a stenographer, retiring in 1971. In her earlier years, she enjoyed skating at the Winnipeg Ice Club. A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 25 at 11:00 a.m. at Neil Bardal Inc., 984 Portage Ave., entrance on Aubrey Street. If friends so desire, donations in Emmas memory may be made to Lions Personal Care Centre, 320 Sherbrook St., R3B 2W6.
