AUBREY BURTON Aubrey J. Burton passed away peacefully in his sleep on Saturday, September 23, 2000, at the Grace Hospital. He was 92 years old. Aubrey was born in Winnipeg, MB on November 13, 1907. He was a member of the Manitoba Telephone Pioneers. He worked for the Manitoba Telephone System as a supervisor in pay phone collections and retired in 1972 after 30 years of service. Prior to this he served in the Canadian Army during the war. He married his loving wife, Marion, in 1927, and they spent 73 wonderful years together. In addition to his wife Marion, Aubrey will be missed by his daughter Joy McKay; grandchildren Shelley McKay and Marc (Kathy) McKay; great-grandchildren, Collin, Allison, and Andrew McKay, Robyn Young, A.J. Young, and Dustin Hughes, and Graeme Young (THEIR BIG PAPA). Sisters-in-law, Royal Dueck (John), Swann Suffron (Art), Teennie Blyth (Jack). Special nieces and nephews, Thom Young (Val), Cathy Hughes (Bob Lanz), Paul Suffron (Linda), Ashli and Chante Suffron, Aubrey Suffron, Swannee Smith (Scott), David Johnston (Collen), Carol Heppenstall, Darcy and Mark Heppenstall. If friends so desire, contributions in Aubreys name may be made to the Salvation Army, 500- 55 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3C 1L8. Funeral service to celebrate Aubreys life will be held on Thursday, September 28, at 3:30 p.m. at Lions Place, 610 Portage Avenue, in the Bell Estate Room, next to the auditorium with Rev. Stanley Millar officiating. Service to terminate at Lions Place. Arrangements entrusted to: CHAPEL LAWN FUNERAL HOME CEMETERY AND CREMATORIUM 885-9715
