CLARA STEFANSON It is with deepest sorrow that we announce the passing of our Mother and Amma at the Grace Hospital on September 23, 2000 at the age of 81. Mom will be sadly missed by her son Brian (Donna) and her daughter Carol (Garry) and her grandchildren, Kevin (Kendra), Kristy, Laurie and Amy. Clara was predeceased by her husband Mundi and oldest son Gary in 1975. Clara was the last of her family having been predeceased by her parents, Sigfus and Sigurlaug Sigurdson; five brothers and four sisters. Clara was born in Otto, Man. on October 31, 1918. She remembered growing up on a farm and walking to school with her cousins. She loved berry picking, school picnics, the winters and family gatherings, especially at Christmas when all of her brothers and sisters came home. She married Mundi on June 1, 1940 and they spent many happy years raising a family on Banning Street in Winnipeg and playing host to her many relatives visiting from the country. Clara worked at a number of jobs but fondly remembered her last employment in the cafeteria at Great West Life. The family would like to express thanks to the staff at Grace Hospital for their care and compassion. Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held. NEIL BARDAL INC. 949-2200
