MARION ELEANOR SMEALL (nee DENYER) It is with great sorrow and sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, friend Eleanor Smeall on Friday, September 22, 2000 at the age of 73. She will be sadly missed very much by her husband Tom; son Paul (Margaret), Donna; grandchildren Lisa (Ken), Tom Jr., Sarah, Tyler (Charla), Richard, Paul Jr.; great-grandchildren Steven, Zachary, Fane, and Michael; also sister Alelia (Eric) McLellan, and friends from her Gimli and Sandy Hook Community. Eleanor is predeceased by her son Tom Jr. (April 1995). Eleanor lived a full and eventful life with her husband Tom of 54 years. She leaves behind many wonderful and cherished memories. Eleanor was born and raised in Fort Rouge where she also married and raised their two sons, Tom and Paul. In 1973, Eleanor and Tom moved to Sandy Hook to enjoy peaceful country living. She enjoyed their several trips overseas. Eleanor had a very creative hand. She enjoyed writing, knitting, ceramics and had a great passion for painting in which she had received several awards and honourable mentions. Without hesitation, Eleanor would volunteer her time at the Gimli Thrift Store or the Gimli Art Club in which she was a proud member of. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and was sure to have her thumb on the pulse of the community to promote any upcoming events that could be of interest to them. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 26, at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. (across from the Royal Canadian Mint) with interment to follow. A gathering of family and friends will follow in the reception centre. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 301-352 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB, R3B 2H8. Arrangements Entrusted To: GLEN LAWN FUNERAL HOME 455 LAGIMODIERE BOULEVARD 982-7550
