ANNE MARGERET MARKS Peacefully on Sunday, September 24, 2000, Anne, beloved sister and Auntie, passed away after a brief illness at the Concordia Hospital. Anne was born January 11, 1912 in Camp Morton, MB and lived her early years on the family farm. She was predeceased by her parents, Anna and John Marks; infant sister Mary; sister Catherine Reichert; and brother Adam Marks. She is survived by three brothers, Anthony, John (Margaret) and Joseph (Lucy) Marks of Camp Morton and Gimli. She will also be deeply remembered and loved by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews who were a very important part of her daily life. When Anne was in her early 20s, she moved to Winnipeg and then to Red Lake, ON, always engaged in different types of work. After a few years she moved back to Winnipeg where she was employed by the Shop Easy Stores until her retirement. Annes life with her family was so very important to her and she was constantly involved with all of us throughout the years. We have so many wonderful memories of her constant generosity and loving care to each and every one of us. Her faith in God meant so very much to her, and her rosary was always in arms reach. Her latter years were spent in Fred Douglas Lodge and most recently Bethania Nursing Home. The family would like to especially thank the care givers at Bethania Nursing Home who were so caring and understanding. Her last few days of her life were at the Concordia Hospital, surrounded by her beloved family and the compassionate nurses at the Concordia Hospital. Prayers will be said on Wednesday, September 27 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. at Luxton Avenue. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, September 28 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peters Roman Catholic Church, 748 Keewatin St. Interment to follow in St. Benedictss Roman Catholic Cemetery, Camp Morton, at 2:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be Brian Korell, Marvin Marks, James Marks, Jerome Marks, Wayne Marks and Richard Marks. In lieu of flowers, donations in Annes memory may be made to Bethania Personal Care Home, 1045 Concordia Ave., Winnipeg, MB.
