CHARLES LAVERNE McLEAN On Thursday, September 21, 2000, Charles Laverne McLean of Mayerthorpe, formerly of Whitemouth, MN passed away at home with his family present, following a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 71 years. Charlie will be forever loved and remembered by his children, daughters Alice and husband Leo Boulanger of Lac Du Bonnet, Maureen Thompson of Lac Du Bonnet, Verna and husband, Ken Dougall of Winnipeg; son George and wife Linda Tyndall of Whitemouth, MN, daughter Debbie Taggart of Whitecourt, son Darrell Tyndall of Kirk Land Lake, ON, son Robert McLean of Mayerthorpe, son Tom and wife Dana McLean of Whitecourt, and son Donald McLean of Elma, MN; brother Robert and wife Betty McLean of Stienback, MN; special cousin Garnet and his wife Maxine Wheeler of Flin Flon, MN; numerous grand and great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends will also miss Charlie. Charlie has been cremated as he wished and will be buried together with his wife Anne in the Whitemouth Cemetery, Whitemouth, MN. A Celebration of Life Service for Charlie will be held Saturday, September 30 at 2:00 p.m. at Ross United Church, Whitemouth, MN with Jack Ballantye-Dickson officiating. A reception will follow at Elma Community Hall. Cremation in Park Memorial Crematorium. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Aspen (Whitecourt) Home Care Program, Whitecourt, AB T7S 1P9.
