Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDEACON MICHAEL THOMAS TRENT Peacefully on September 26, after a brief final illness and with his family at his side, Michael went to his eternal home. Michael was born in Winnipeg on September 2, 1924 to Michal and Maria Tchorowski (Wawryko). Besides Irene, his loving wife of 47 years, left to mourn his death are his son Michael and wife Charlene and his grandson Colin. Michael worked as an accountant first with the Royal Alexandra Hotel and later with the Carlton Inn until his retirement in 1993. Michael was ordained a Deacon for the Archdiocese of Winnipeg in 1980. He served the people of the Diocese faithfully particularly at Holy Ghost Parish. He was an Oblate of St. Benedict and will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by the many people he touched with his open and cheerful personality. The family acknowledges with gratitude the excellent and compassionate care given to Michael by the doctors and staff in ICU and Level 3 of Seven Oaks General Hospital. Prayers will be said at St. Anthony of Padua Parish, 250 Burrin Ave., at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday with Deacon Frank Conway presiding. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at St. Anthony of Padua Parish on Friday, September 29 at 10:00 a.m. with Fr. Terry McGrath presiding. Interment will follow at Holy Ghost Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian National Institute for the Blind, the Canadian Diabetes Association or to St. Benedicts Monastery.
