Bertha will be sadly missed but forever remembered lovingly by her family. Her devoted daughter Stephanie and husband Russell Luch; son Joseph and wife Olga; her grandchildren, Tom and Jim Dudych, Leo (Tammy) Luch, Natalie (Andy) Meyer along with great-grandchildren, Roman and Matthew; sister-in-law Antonia Yaremko and numerous nieces. She was predeceased by her husband Nicholas of 69 years on September 9, 2000; son Stanley in 1938; her parents, brothers, Michael and Adam; sisters, Nellie and Mary. Bertha was born in 1910 in Poland and came to Canada in 1925 with her father and siblings. In 1931 she married Nicholas where they farmed in Cloverleaf Man. until they came to Winnipeg. She was a very humble loving individual who warmed everyones heart with her caring and joyful personality. Her family was her entire life and the highlight was her two great-grandchildren. Her door was always open and the table was always full. She took great pride in sharing her pyrohy and holubchi with us making sure we took some home. She became a resident of the St. Josephs Residence in November 1999. The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to the exceptional nurses, staff, volunteers and pastoral personnel for their kind, compassionate care and countless prayers for our mother. She considered them all to be her second family. Special thank you to Dr. B. Gorski for his excellent care. In lieu of flowers, friends may make donations to St. Josephs Residence, 1149 Leila Ave., Wpg, R2P 1S6.
