PHILIP RUSYWICH Peacefully at the St. Claude Pavilion on Wednesday, September 27, Mr. Phil Rusywich of St. Claude, Manitoba passed away at the age of 91 years. Phil was born March 4, 1909 at Silver, Manitoba. At a young age he moved with his family to the St. Claude district. In 1938, he married Jeanne Philippe and together raised 3 children. He was a long time member of the Manitoba Seed Growers Association, president of the St. Claude Agricultural Society, leader of the St. Claude 4-H Tractor Club and president of the local U.G.G. board. He enjoyed travelling and listening to old time fiddle music. He will be sadly missed by all his friends and family. He leaves to mourn Jeanne (nee Philippe) his beloved wife of 61 years; 3 children, Norman Rusywich of St. Claude, Lillian and husband Bob Ralke of Winnipeg, and Evelyn Boode of Winnipeg; 3 grandchildren, Dana (Evan Page), Ryan Ralke (Sherry), and Tania Steele-Boode and 3 great-grandchildren, Taryn and Jade Page and Derek Steele. He also leaves to mourn one sister Rose Guigueno and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Anne (nee Cherniak) 2 brothers, Joe and Mike; 2 sisters, Ellen and Mary, and by 2 infant siblings. With respect for his wishes, cremation has taken place. Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the St. Claude Roman Catholic Church on Saturday September 30, 2000 at 2 p.m. with Father Rodrigue Bouchard officiating. Interment to follow in the Parish Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, friends or family may send memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St, Winnipeg, MB R3C 9Z9.
