MORRIS STEFURA Peacefully on Monday, September 25, 2000 with family at his side, Morris Stefura, passed away in the Grace Hospital at the age of 75 years. Morris is survived by his wife of 52 years, Helen; daughter Nancy Batenburg and husband Ian of Darwin, Australia and their children, Christopher, Tracey and Taryn; son Randy of Minneapolis, his children Cassie and Mandy and their mother Brenda; Randys fiancee Debra and her son Troy; daughter Faye Wankling and husband Rick, their children Pamela and Emily; sister Alice; brothers, Bill and John and other family and friends. He will also be missed by his "coffee" pals with whom he would conduct "business" and cure the ills of the world. Morris worked hard as the owner of Stefuras Cartage, an enterprise he grew from one truck into a successful business. Dad was the master of contraptions and he would devise a way to fix anything in need of repair. His family came first; he would drop everything to lend a hand, especially if the grandchildren were involved. He will be deeply missed as a husband, father and as Grandpa, Bucka and Papa to his grandchildren. A service to celebrate Morriss life will be held on Saturday, September 30 at 11:30 a.m. in Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway. A private family interment will take place later. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Morris may be made to the Grace General Hospital Foundation, 300 Booth Drive, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3J 3M7 or Cancer Care Manitoba 100 Olivia Street, Winnipeg Manitoba R3E OV9 or to a charity of choice.
