HAZEL MAY NELSON (nee BRUCE) Born in Selkirk, MB Peacefully, on Tuesday, September 26, 2000, at the Convalescent Home of Winnipeg, Hazel May Nelson went to be with her Lord. Sadly missed by daughter Connie, many relatives and friends. Hazel was predeceased by her husband Wilfrid in 1954; also 4 sisters and 4 brothers. Hazel attended Zion Apostolic Church most of her adult life, then Calvary Temple where she was greatly blessed. She was a kind, loyal and faithful friend to those fortunate to really know her, with a gentle manner and never a harsh word. Her quiet wit many times alluded you because it was so unexpected. She had an inborn ability for helping and caring for those who needed her encouraging and uplifting spirit. Many times with wisdom, compassion and humour, she changed sorrow into smiles especially for her daughter. "My only comfort both in life and death is that I am not my own, but belong with body and soul to my faithful Saviour Jesus Christ." My precious Mother lived her life walking hand in hand with her Lord. She found early in life that Jesus is a precious treasure. Her most profound discovery was that He was real and Salvation a priceless gift, one which couldnt be earned or deserved, free because of the sacrifice of Gods only son. Mom had a heart that desired to know God. As her heart was full of the Lords presence, few people met her without hearing of the love, faithfulness and mercy of her spiritual partner. He was very near to her and now He wants her home. She has gone on to the glorious reward, which He has prepared for her, and is now in perfect peace and comfort with the Lord she loved so much. She has many friends and relatives in Heaven joyfully welcoming her. Memorial service will be held on Monday, October 2, at 2:30 p.m. at Calvary Temple, Buntain Chapel, 400 Hargrave Street. Flowers are gratefully declined. Donations may be made in Hazels memory to the Canadian Bible Society or a charity of choice. The family wish to thank the Convalescent Home of Winnipeg for their kindness and compassionate care given to Mom. "Mom, you lived your life in an exemplary fashion, with dignity and honour. Im so proud to be your daughter. I love you dearly and will miss you terribly, but I will see you again - until then - " Arrangements entrusted to: CHAPEL LAWN FUNERAL HOME CEMETERY AND CREMATORIUM 885-9715
