WILFRED E. (BARNEY) ARMSTRONG Wilfred E. (Barney) Armstrong passed away peacefully September 20, 2000. Wilfred was predeceased by his wife Delores; parents, Robert Douglas and Mary (Minnie) and sister Alice Fraser. He is survived by his wife Emily of White Rock, BC; son Robert Douglas (Tanis) grandson Robert Douglas of Winnipeg; also survived by brother John Wilson, Grace, Lloyd (Sandy), Clark and sisters, Mary Elizabeth Chapman, Mildred Doreen Battle as well as Edna Ruth Christenson. During the Second World War, Barney served as a Wireless Operator and then served in the #2 Provost Corps. After the war, Barney worked as a Conductor for the CNR, retiring in 1977. For many, many years Barney with his wife Delores enjoyed their residence at Falcon Lake before moving to Whiterock, BC. Barney will be sadly missed by all the friends he made over the years. Barney enjoyed regaling his many fondest stories of his time served in the Second World War. Funeral Services were held on Tuesday, September 26 in Kearney South Surrey Chapel. If friends so desire, they may make a donation to the Salvation Army in Barneys memory.
