Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryOLGA (OLLIE) LUTZ (nee SMILINSKI) A gentle soul is laid to rest Peacefully on Sunday, September 24, 2000 at her residence in Minneapolis, Ollie went to be with the Lord. She faced her illness with courage and dignity and always maintained a positive attitude. Left to cherish her memory husband Jerry; her loving daughter Susan (Tim) and her grandchildren, Micheal and Nicole of whom she was so proud and talked about often; she loved them dearly. Her two loving sisters, Lena (John) and Marie; her dear brother Steve and her devoted nephews, Derrick, Gary, Johnnie and Mike and loving niece Marilyn and their respective families. She was predeceased by her loving parents, Fred and Anne; sister Mary (in infancy) and brothers, Mike, John, Bill and Tony. Ollie was born in Winnipeg on September 30, 1927 and there attended schools in Gonor, Man., Salisbury and Lord Wolseley. She worked in the Eatons Mail Order - 8th floor and in 1950 she married Jerry Lutz from Minneapolis, she then went to reside in Minneapolis. Jerry and Ollie would have celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary on October 24, 2000. They had a beautiful and loving marriage. They both enjoyed travelling, golfing and taking walks together. They were soul mates. Ollie cherished her family deeply and she touched the lives of all who knew her with her loving and kind nature; her warmth and her generosity. She enjoyed gardening and above all sharing her produce each year with her neighbourhood, friends and family. The garden she planted this summer even though she was very ill, seemed to thrive beautifully and produced in abundance for all to share. We would like to express our deepest gratitude and "thank-yous" to all our friends and relatives for their concern, their prayers and love during the time of Ollies illness. A special thanks to Helen Lutz her sister-in-law who was always there for Ollie. Ollies special angel. God Bless you all. Cremation has taken place. A graveside service was held for Ollie on Thursday, September 28 at Fort Snelling Cemetery. A private family memorial service for Ollie will be held in Winnipeg at a later date. Those we love dont go away They walk beside us everyday. Beautiful thoughts and memories Are treasured forever of happy days, When we were all together. We miss you, we love you - Rest in peace Olya.
