JOHANNES (JOE) GUDMUNDSON On Thursday, September 28, 2000, Joe Gudmundson, aged 75, passed away peacefully with his loving children by his side. He was born March 18, 1925 in Arborg, MB, son of David and Siga Gudmundson. He married Sigurborg Oddleifson August 26, 1950 (deceased 1997) and they resided in Arborg. Joe was happily employed at Sigurdsons Esso Service and also served on the Arborg Hall, Rink Committee and Church Council. After Joes retirement in 1983 he enjoyed working in the garden and took pride in his yard work. Joes interests were fishing, hunting and camping with his family and friends. Left to celebrate his life and to mourn his passing are his four children, Heather, Dennis, Jo Ann, Becky and their families; Kris, Dave, Marino, Agust, Lily and families; in-laws, Agnes Brandson, Olive Retzlaff and Billie Oddleifson; numerous grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Funeral Service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, September 30 in the Ardal-Geysir Lutheran Church, Arborg. Pastor Otto Christensen will officiate with interment to follow the service in the Hagga Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Alvin Lehmann, Milton Brandson, Ivan Johnson, Alfred Gislason, Laurie Tomko and David Humeny. In lieu of cards and flowers, donations may be made to the Ardal-Geysir Lutheran Church. Arborg (MacKenzie) Funeral Home in care of the arrangements.
