Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEMILIA (PANCHENKO) LESEN Peacefully at Holy Family Nursing Home on Wednesday, September 27, 2000, Emilia (Panchenko) Lesen, aged 83 years. Left to cherish Emilias memory are son Ihor Panchenko and wife Jennifer along with grandsons, Andrew and A.J. of Minneapolis, Minnesota; sister Hrynia Motoch and brother Nick (Olga) of Winnipeg; nieces, Louisa Shykoluk (John) of Winnipeg and Lydia Skyba (Mike) of Melbourne, Australia; nephews, George Motoch (Sharon) of Winnipeg and Boris Weremijenko of Melbourne, Australia; numerous other relatives and friends. Emelia was born in Ukraine and came to Canada in 1953. She was employed with Canadian Linen Supply, retiring in 1978. She was a member of Oseredok, Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral of St. Mary the Protectress and its St. Andrews Organization. She was a very spiritual, loving and caring person and was extremely proud of her grandsons, Andrew and A.J. She became a resident of Holy Family Nursing Home in August of 1999. The family would like to express heartfelt thanks to all the nurses, staff, volunteers and pastoral personnel for their kind, compassionate care. She considered them all to be her second family. A very special thanks to family members Hrynia, Nick and Olga for their unselfish time and energy in helping lift Moms spirits. Prayers will be sung at Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral of St. Mary the Protectress, 820 Burrows Ave. on Sunday, October 1 at 4:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 2 also at the Cathedral, with Rev.
