Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDENNIS SKOLNY With great sadness we announce the passing of Dennis on September 20, 2000 at his home in Hay River, N.W.T. He is survived by Wanda, his beloved wife of 32 years; sons, Joey (Mel), Denny (Jill) his grandchildren, Joel, Amanda, Nicole and Denise who were his pride and joy, the light of his life; his brother Ron (Dolores) grandmother (Mary Kuslak) Aunts Lena Kernested (Gordon), Joan Solmundson (Roy), Margie Catley (Barry) numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, their families and friends. He was predeceased by his grandfather Walter Kuslak. Dennis was born in Gimli on May 11, 1949. He was raised by his grandparents in Hnausa, then moved to Gimli and later to Alberta and the Northwest Territories where he was employed by Northern Transportation. Dennis will always be remembered for his outgoing friendliness and his boundless generosity. He never met a stranger he didnt know. Friends in Hay River will remember Dennis cruising around town with a Diet Pepsi in his hand. He will be very much missed by his pets, Milly and Kissa. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at the Gilbart Funeral Home on First Avenue in Gimli on Saturday, October 7 at 2:00 p.m. Gilbart Funeral Home in care of arrangements.

My dad was a great man. He did what was best for our family and was a very fun and out going father. He is missed and thought about everyday by myself, brother, and Mom. If everyone on the planet in my eyes was like him, it would be a better place as his generosity was second to none along with his friendly presents. Always in good spirits wherever he went. Coffee in the mornings were best on the weekends. We had alot of very good times and laughs. You are sorely missed Dad. RIP.
